Dr. Kelsey Dobesh is a chiropractic physician and certified athletic trainer that practices full-time in Mitchell, SD. She started her practice, Dobesh Chiropractic, in 2013. In addition to owning her own practice, she is the team chiropractor for the Dakota Wesleyan University athletic teams and an adjunct professor at Dakota Wesleyan University for the Master’s in Athletic Training Program. She is the District 2 Director for the South Dakota Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Kelsey obtained her undergraduate bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. During her time at Nebraska, she worked with multiple athletic teams, including the volleyball and football teams. She also worked with women's soccer, track and field, softball, and women's gymnastics.
She then went to Logan College of Chiropractic to obtain her doctorate. In addition to this degree, she also obtained another bachelor's degree in Life Science and a Master's degree of Science and Sports Science and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Kelsey sees a wide variety of patients and conditions in her office, including athletes of all ages, infants and children, pregnant women, and geriatric individuals.
She is the founder and creator of the Core Complex Program. This program is a rehabilitation and educational resource for women that are struggling with core weakness, chronic lower back pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, or simply want to workout smarter without the injuries. Dr. Kelsey is also a foot and ankle expert and LOVES to assess the biomechanics of how these areas cause issues up the kinetic chain. She is now offering virtual appointments for assessment and rehabilitation for these lower extremity conditions. Many times within these visits, she encourages patients to see their own chiropractor in conjunction with the rehabilitation and assessment she is doing with the patient.
She utilizes rehabilitation and deep tissue laser, in conjunction with the chiropractic adjustments for many injuries as well. The techniques that she uses during adjustments are specific to each individual patient and can include Diversified, Activator, Drop Table, and SOT.
Dr. Kelsey and her husband, Dan, have three young children. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, being active with her kids, reading, painting, and eating GREAT food.
Dr. Kelsey's mission in her office is to always provide each patient with the most up-to-date techniques and treatments and utmost compassion. Her passion for helping her patients is one of the first traits noticed about her.
